Martin Davidson who was the director as well as one of the screenwriters (along with his wife Arlene) most of his credits seem to be TV credits but he does have a writer/director credit for The Lords of Flatbush which I remember was a small movie but got good reviews and claimed both Henry Winkler (pre-Fonzi) and Sylvester Stallone as gang members. Maybe he just couldn’t write up for movies??? Or maybe just got too dragged down the shortcomings of the book and couldn’t overcome them in the movie.

I recently reviewed Meg which was both a bad (horrible) novel and movie, and they tore apart the novel and just had the basic ideas of Carchadon Megladon (spelling?) and the main characters name and profession everything else was changed and they still came up with a bad movie.
