The Ratifying of an American Dictatorship

Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, January 31, 2020, the United States Senate declined to hear witnesses in the impeachment of President Donald J. Trump, and immediately took a vote to acquit the president. The vote followed party lines 52- 48 to acquit the President, with Democrat Joe Manchin crossing the line to vote with Republicans.

After receiving the news that the charges had been dismissed, the President immediately took to the airwaves in a national address declaring that he had been vindicated by the senate, and the U.S. House of Representatives had led illegal hearings and impeachment proceedings. The President declared a national emergency and cancelled the forthcoming elections. He also ordered that House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Jerrold Nadler be arrested and tried for treason against the United States as quickly as possible. He also ordered, that during this national emergency habeas corpus as well as the right to bail have been suspended until further notice.

In a related matter, the F.B.I. confiscated the manuscript and all files of former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s book from publisher Simon and Schuster. Bolton was also taken into custody and placed under house arrest. Also arrested, former Ukrainian Ambassador Maria Yovanavich; Army Lieutenant Alexander Vindman; Ambassador Bill Taylor; EU ambassador Gordon Sondland; Fiona Hill; Lev Parnas, and others who cooperated and testified against the President in hearings in front of House impeachment committees. Former New York Mayor Rudolf Giuliani has also been arrested.

The president declared that he would remain in office as long as the state of emergency existed. As of this writing there is no word if the military, the secret service, or local police agencies are backing the President’s orders.
